When I was traveling from Bavaria up to Magdeburg, arriving just in time for the Regionalliga match between Magdeburg and Borussia Dortmund’s Reserves, I noticed that in my last train, I had to smell smoke all the way – and just as I was preparing to complain, I noticed that half of the car I was in was indeed a smoker section. Interestingly, there was no separation between the two areas at all. Now where’s the sense in that?
In other areas:
1. FC Magdeburg 2-2 Borussia Dortmund Res.
Goals:
1-0 Manai (60′)
2-0 Kotuljac (65′)
2-1 Nöthe (77′)
2-2 Nöthe (81′)
Attendance: 8,051
A rather bad game by FC Magdeburg with a lot of small mistakes, imprecise passing and other reasons for the audience to get angry. After Magdeburg went up 2-0, they basically stopped attacking and hardly ever got out of their own half, something which the manager should have prevented.
In consequence, Dortmund scored from a corner and a counter-attack. With this draw, promotion has moved a little further away from Dirk Heyne’s team, but a good result against their direct competition in Lübeck next friday might change this for the better again.
